A few more cards

As I said a couple days ago, I find that I have much less free time than I used to, but I have found some time to make a few cards. These are some cards that I made thanks to Sarah. She made some beautiful cards and I copied just about everything from the ones she made:)

DSC08195DSC08196DSC08197For the cards I used paper from Walmart and the More to Adore pp. I used the MS butterfly punch, some Basic Grey bling and did some stitching down edge. I also sponged the edges with Twilight and Hollyhock ink. The sentiment is from an Easter ss (I can’t remember its exact name:)

Here I am:)

I am sorry I have been so absent lately. I just started a new part-time job (at Archiver's:) a couple weeks ago and it is really limiting the amount of free time I have now. I feel like I should be spending my free time with my kids rather than making lots of cards and such…I think most of you understand where I’m coming from:)

Anyway, I have made a few cards the past couple days and here is one of them. I used these spectacular cards that Sarah made as my inspiration (and I also made some that look VERY similar to hers too that I will share later:) DSC08199DSC08200I have wanted to make a long card…and this is what I came up with. The dp are just leftover scraps and the cs are White Daisy and Chocolate. All of the stamps came from either the $1 bin at Michaels or the Hot Spot from Archiver’s. The inks are Olive and Chocolate. I finished the card off with some bling and ribbon.

Happy for you

This is the first time I’ve participated in a Whiff of Joy challenge. I think all of their images are just darling and I just recently received the new fall stamp collection…love it:)

Here is the card I made for this week’s sketch challenge…

DSC08156DSC08157 Isn’t this image just darling?!? It is from the new fall Whiff of Joy collection (and the sentiment too:) The dp is a little scrap from my stash, the cs are Olive, Sunflower, Colonial White and Kraft. I scissor distressed all the edges of the cs. The ribbon is also from my stash and there are some sunflower brads in the corner.

Two cuties

Here is a card I made this morning for the sketch this week at The Fresh Batch. I think these two are cuties:)

DSC08154The paper is from the More to Adore pp and I did a bit of distressing to the piece in the center. The two cuties are Magnolia stamps and the little mushrooms are from Whiff of Joy. The flowers are Just Blooms that I sponged with Chocolate and Blush ink and added some Basic Grey bling to the center.

Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend. The weather couldn’t be any more perfect here:)

Cupcake overload!

The challenge this week at Stamp Something was to create a birthday card. I think birthday cards are so fun to make and I went a little cupcake crazy on this one:)

Here is my birthday card…

Twisted Thursday

Well it has been a while since I have made a card or done a challenge, so it felt good to get back at it again. This card I made for the TT challenge at S2G. I really like how it turned out, but I didn’t do a very good job following the sketch..oops:)

Here is the sketch and the twist this week was to use a punch.

S2GSC22_punch_it Here is my card with a twist…

DSC08147DSC08148I used one of the new S2G images ‘Love Bug’ that I had won during their release week. I paper pieced the car and the dp is from Basic Grey. The cs are Crystal Blue and White Daisy. The ribbon is from my stash. I used a punch for the ovals and the bottom border.

Have a wonderful rest of the Friday!

Dry erase calendar

Hello everyone! Yes I am still here, I just haven’t been feeling real crafty since we’ve gotten back from STL…I think I am still in vacation mode:)

Since school is starting up, summer is pretty much over in my opinion. And with the start of a new school year that means lots of activities (though neither one of my kids are actually in school yet:). We will have volleyball games to go to and the basketball season will start before we know it. We are so fortunate to live in an area that has so many things for kids to do, but I have to make sure I stay very organized so I don’t forget anything. So to help me stay on top of everything I decided to make a dry erase calendar. I got the inspiration from Kim….thanks:)

Here it is…

DSC08145I bought a 12x12 frame from Hobby Lobby and also picked up some MME dp while I was there.  I put some Colonial White cs on the top and used the Express Postage ss for the days of the week stamped with Bamboo ink. I also added some pink ribbon from my stash and some Basic Grey bling. I drew the lines on the dp with marker, but the month and dates I wrote on the glass with a dry erase marker (so I don’t have to make a new background every month!:)

That is about it. Very simple and kind of cute I think. It will come in very handy this school year since I’m a planner and I love to be organized!:)

Back home

Hello again to all of my blogging friends...it seems like it has been a while!:) We got back yesterday evening from St. Louis and now I am trying to get things back to 'normal'. To me, that is always the worst part about traveling:) I feel like I have a ton of catching up to do. I really wasn't able to check out anyone's blogs while I was gone. I'm sure I missed a lot in a week! I am hoping to try and get caught up soon and by next week have made something to share:)

Have a great weekend!
